New Year: NSCDC vows to prosecute fireworks sellers, buyers

By Baba Yusuf

As FCT residents celebrated Christmas with peace, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has called on parents to guide their children from using fireworks or they would face prosecution with their sellers.
The FCT Commandant, Mr. Patrick Ukpan, made this known after his patrol of the city.

He said that his men were on ground to arrest and prosecute any child that breaks the law, including those that sold fireworks (knock out) for them to use.
The commandant also called on residents who are travelling to other states to make sure that they keep their house in order in term of security and they should not expose their business or financial status to anybody to avoid turning around to dupe them.

He commended the official and men of his command for the surveillance they put in place during the Christmas period, adding that they should be more vigilantes and arrest any strange faces that move around in the city.
Ukpan further called on the sisters security agencies to always collaborate and bring out bad eggs in the society without pity, adding that NSCDC is commending the Military for clearing the Boko  Haram boys from Sambisa forest.
