New tariff: AEDC assures quality service delivery

The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) Thursday assured customers of its rapid improvement in the quality of its services in network with the new tariff to boost electricity supply across Nasarawa state.

Managing director and chief executive officer of the company, Abimbola Odubiyi, who was represented by director corporate services, Ernest Mupwaya, gave the assurance at a one-day engagement with customers on tariff review in Lafia.

He stated that the company had invested over N20 billion in network improvement since inception, adding that it was working harder to raise the level of the investment so as to ensure better customer services across the coverage area.

Odubiyi said AEDC is also committed to fulfilling other obligations to increase the amount and quality of supply to its customers.

He stated that since its investment in the mass metering project, a total of 160,832 meters was installed, and had provided 630 transformers adding that, “We also installed network capacity of about 870mw above 710 mw.”

He said with the 330KVA substation in Lafia, the state will soon overcome the challenges.
