New Gov Lamido’s media aide woos journalists

The newly-appointed Special Adviser on Media to Governor Sule Lamido of Jigawa state, Malam Adamu Muhammad Usman, has solicited for the support and cooperation of all the working journalist in the state.
Usman, who paid a familiarisation visit to the correspondent chapel yesterday in Dutse, the state capital, said that his visit was to introduce himself and solicit for support and cooperation from all members of the pen profession who represents national dailies in the state.

He said the importance of media to the society could not be over-emphasised, adding that it was partner in progress with the government.
He also said his door was open to all for verification and advices, promising to cooperate with the journalists and carry everybody along.
Also speaking, the chairman of the chapel, Malam Ahmed Abubakar, told Usman: “By all indications, you have a good will, not only to the members of the Pen profession, but to the entire citizens of Jigawa state.”
