NEDC flagg off more projects in Adamawa 

Inline with its mandate of rebuilding the North East sub-region  and bringing succour to the victims of insurgency,the North Eat development commission (NEDC ) has flagged up more roads and educational projects in Adamawa state geared towards fast- tracking the rebuilding of the North East.

The projects which includes a Ground breaking ceremony for the construction of 32 km Garkida-Dabna road construction and foundation laying for the constructions of three mega models secondary schools in the state were flagged in Garkida in Gombi Local Government and Song local Government respectively.

Speaking during the ground breaking of Garkida-Dabna road in Garkida town the managing director of the NEDC, Mohammed Alkali said the project was one of the significance intervations that the commission is executing as part of its mandare towards recovery, reconstruction, stabilisation, expansion and sustainable development of the North East zone.

He further explained that the Garkida-Dabna road was awarded at the cost of 6.3b in addition to so many completed and ongoing projects in Adamawa state  which includes reconstruction of three Bridges along mubi-Bama road(Kudzum,wuro-Ngayandi and Delechim,constructions of 3 new span bridges  on jabbi lamba to Belel road.

Others are 500 housing units,ict training centres, three NEDC mega model schools  across the three senetorlal district of the state, rehabilitations of 10 technical skills  acquisition centres, constructions of Police station/Barrack quarters in Garkida ,capital projects in both federal and state tertiary health and education institution’s among others.
