NECO phases out second test for Unity Schools

Management of the National Examinations Council (NECO) has said that it was set to implement  the decision by the Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu, to cancel the second phase of the National Common Entrance Screening Test conducted by the Council for admission of pupils into Federal Government colleges.

Registrar/Chief Executive, of the Council, Prof. Abdulrashid Garba, who stated this yesterday, commended the Minister for the decision, which he said would go a long way to further reposition the nation’s education system.
Garba said the Management had already set up a committee to strategise on the implementation of the directive of the Minister to ensure immediate compliance and implementation.
He assured all relevant stake holders of the preparedness of NECO to deliver on its mandate to always deliver examinations whose results are trusted worldwide for their credibility.
