NDLEA nabs undergraduate with cocaine

The Anambra Command of National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested a 23-year old student of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, for allegedly carrying 48 pinches of cocaine.
The Commander of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in the state, Mr. Sule Momodu, told journalists that suspect was arrested in Awka on Thursday.

Momodu said that the command, during the raid in Awka, arrested three other suspects, including a 24-year-old man, caught with 400kg of cannabis;  a 39-year-old man caught with 150kg of cannabis and a 26-year-old man caught with 130kg of cannabis.
He said that the suspects would soon be arraigned after investigation.
Momodu said that the Federal High Court, Awka, presided over by Justice. I.B. Gafai, had on May 19, 2014, sentenced two drug dealers to four years imprisonment each.
He said that the state was no longer safe for consumers and dealers of hard drugs and warned those involved in the trade to desist from it or face the consequences.
