NDE trains 40 Kano youth on transformation scheme 

 

The federal government has reaffirmed its determination to training youth in various skills and traits with the aim of making them self reliant.

The Director General of the National Directorate of Employment (NDE), Malam AbubKar Nuhu Fikpo, disclosed this during the opening ceremony for the orientation and life skill training for the second phase of youth transformation training held in Kano.

Represented by the coordinator of the agency in Kano, Malam Abdulkareem Yahaya Sirika, said the objectives of the training was to make the youth to become self-reliant and employers of labour.

He said the youth will be trained on different skills which include GSM repairs, fashion designing, hair dressing, autotoronics, panel beating, and photography among others. 

Malam Abubakar Nuhu Fikpo urged the participants to make adequate utilization of the opportunity with the aim of achieving the stated goals.

In a remark the Director Vocational Skills Development Mr Isa Audu represented by Malam Abdulkareem Hassan said the training would go a long way in curtailing the menace of unemployment. 

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mohammad Sulieman applauded the efforts of the federal government for providing them with the opportunity, he noted that they would make adequate use of the opportunity.

The ceremony was attended by senior officials of the agency and participants.
