NCPC boss Adegbite pays condolence visit to late Jerusalem Pilgrim’s widow in Lagos

The executive secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Bishop Stephen Adegbite, has paid a condolence visit to the widow of late Jerusalem pilgrim, Pastor Magistrate Olasanmi Ogunkanmi, at their Ikorodu residence in Lagos Friday.

The NCPC boss sympathised with Mrs. Ogunkanmi over the sudden demise of Magistrate Ogunkanmi, urging her to have faith in God and be assured that the deceased “has gone to rest in the bosom of his maker.”

Bishop Adegbite affirmed that it was not an accident that Magistrate Ogunkanmi died the night after he successfully returned from performing Holy pilgrimage in Jerusalem “which makes his death providential.”

This was contained in a press statement issued Friday in Abuja by the Commission’s Head of Media and Public Relations, Celestine Toruka.

“Your husband lived a well fulfilled life on earth; it is, therefore, not how long one lives on earth that matters, but how well,” he said.

He assured her of the support of the Commission for a successful burial of the worthy JP and a pilgrimage ambassador of Nigeria.

It would be recalled that the late Magistrate Ogunkanmi performed his last pilgrimage exercise to Jerusalem with the first batch of Lagos pilgrims, and returned on January 1, 2025, but slept off peacefully that night and never woke up again.

The NCPC boss had earlier visited his family residence in Kado , Abuja, last Monday where he commiserated with his family members.
