NASS election victory: Fajana congratulates Bamidele 

Chairman Sofaj Group of Companies, Bashorun Olugbenga Fajana, has congratulated the Senator representing Ekiti Central senatorial district, Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele (MOB) on his victory at the recent senatorial elections held February 25.

In the message dated March 6, 2023, Bashorun Fajana noted that “Bamidele’s victory at the polls was a testimony to the excellent representation he had given the people of his senatorial district in his first term.” 

He also said Bamidele’s victory at the polls for the second term in the Senate showed that he was in touch with the people of his senatorial district throughout his first term.

According to the Chairman of the Sofaj group, Senator Bamidele, is a legal luminary, who not only fulfilled all the requirements of a good representation but also carried out exceptional constituency projects in Ekiti Central.

He noted that the chairman Senate Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights and Legal in his first term in the Red Chamber sponsored several bills and motions for the advancement of Ekiti Central and Nigeria at large. 

He expressed happiness that now that the Senator has been re-elected, he would “further bring his wealth of experience to facilitate robust lawmaking that would transform the state and country’s landscape.”

He said Senator Bamidele was instrumental to the sponsorship of a bill for the establishment of the Federal University of Medical and Environmental Sciences in Ekiti and the already assented Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) Establishment Act Amendment Bill of 2021, seeking to strengthen and extend the life of AMCON.

He further said, “MOB played a leading role in the passage of the new Electoral Bill and the Petroleum Industry Bill, all of which have been assented to by President Buhari and already having positive impact on the nation’s polity and economy.

“With his partnership with SMEDAN and federal government institutions like the School of Fishery and Oceanography in Lagos, he has trained over 4,500 persons and granted them financial benefits to establish a small and medium scale enterprises to confront poverty and unemployment.

“He has also distributed materials to over 200 physically challenged in the five local governments in the district, among other landmark accomplishments we have garnered in three years,” Fajana said.
