Nasarawa vows to arrest UNICEF school bag sellers

Nasarawa state government has vowed to arrest any person caught selling school bags with the inscription of United Nations Children’s Education Fund (UNICEF) on them.
The Permanent Secretary in the office of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Mr Dauda Sabo said this in a statement in Lafia, the state capital.
Sabo said the UNICEF school bags were supposed to be given to school children free and not to be sold, describing the vendors of the bags as criminals. He said that the state government would not allow this to continue, and urged residents to report any person or groups selling the bags to the security agencies for prompt action.
According to News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Sabo also directed all the security agencies in the state to arrest and prosecute anyone caught selling such bags.
