Nasarawa to commence airlift of pilgrims July 14

Nasarawa state Muslim pilgrims welfare board (NSMPWB) Saturday said it will commence the airlift of its intending pilgrims to the holy land on July, 14th.

The Executive Secretary of the board Idris Ahmed Almakura, disclosed this while addressing journalists in Lafia, the Nasarawa state capital.

He said arrangement have been concluded which includes screening, training, immunisation as well as enlightenment to its 900 intending pilgrims to perform this year’s hajj from the state.

Ahmed Almakura revealed that the board is set to refund the remaining 50,000 naira out of over N1.5 million paid to the board by the  intending pilgrims before their airlift to the holy land.

He explained further, that the board had secured accommodation closed to the two holy mosques in Makka and Madina in order to enable their pilgrimage perform their hajj comfortably.

He however, commended the state governor Engr, Abdullahi Sule for given the board all the necessary support to achieve their aims during the exercise.
