Nasarawa returns 788 alamajarai kids to Plateau, Gombe, Kaduna, others

The Nasarawa state government, Sunday, evacuated 788 almajirai children back to Plateau, Gombe, Taraba, Jigawa and Kaduna states.

Addressing the children at the Government Science School Lafia before departing to their various states of origin, Governor Abdullahi Sule said the essence was for their parents to take proper care of them.

He said the action was imperative in order to curb the spread of COVID-19 pandemic, as according to him, the five states the children had less risk of the pandemic.

Sule further explained that the action to evacuate the children was a collective decision of all the 19 northern states’ governors as part of measures to mitigate the spread of the disease.

“Taking these almajirai back to their various states was in a manner of love and care that the northern governors have for the almajirai.
