Nasarawa PDP senatorial aspirant insists on credible primaries

A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senatorial aspirant for Nasarawa South, Hon. Mohammad Ogoshi Onawo, has called on the party to ensure free, fair and acceptable primaries to promote good governance.
The Director General, Onawo Campaign Organisation, Alhaji Danjuma Musa disclosed this to journalists yesterday in Lafia.
He said credible primaries devoid of impunity would make the party to reclaim its leadership in the 2019 general election.
The aspirant, who is the current member of House of Representatives representing Doma/Keana/Awe federal constituency, also debunked allegations that Governor Umaru Al-Makura is sponsoring his senatorial aspiration in proxyto pave way for him (Al-Makura) in 2019.
He alleged that “it is Senator Suleiman Adokwe that is being sponsored by AlMakura to help emerge deputy governor in 2019.
“Al-Makura has been in serious alliance with Senator Adokwe to pick PDP senatorial ticket in order to pave way for Governor Al-Makura to win his senate election under the platform of APC and reward him (Adokwe) with the deputy governorship seat,” Onawo maintained.
Onawo alleged that throughout his 12 years as senator, Adokwe has no single project to show to warrant his reelection
