The member representing Umaisha/ Ugya constituency at the Nasarawa state House of Assembly,Hon. Ibrahim Abdullahi Sa’ad, has distributed relief items worth N55 million to his constituents.
The items include Food; 2000 bags of 10kg rice and 100 bags of 50kg rice, 400 JAMB forms for students, 100 pieces of already made clothes and 200 pieces of mosquito nets as well as N50,000 grant each for 60 women
The distribution, which took place in Umaisha, Toto LGA, aimed to reduce the plight of the people in his constituency and improve their standard of living.
Hon. Sa’ad emphasized that the gesture was to put smiles on the faces of his constituents before, during, and after the Sallah celebration.
“Today I am distributing rice, clothes, mosquito nets, cash and JAMB forms to students, this is to reduce the hardship being faced by the people .
“This is also to improve on the standard of living of my constituents.
” It is in continuation of what we have started last year, this year we double what was provided to the people of Umaisha/Ugya last year,” he said.
The lawmaker appreciated his constituents for their support and encouraged them to continue in that direction.
He also pledged sound and quality representation at the state legislature and solicited prayers and support for himself and Governor Abdullahi Sule to succeed.
In his remarks, Nasarawa State People Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman, Alhaji Adamu Bako Ninga, commended Hon. Sa’ad for his efforts, stating that he deserves another term to continue his good work.
” All of our members are doing well in the state and national assembly. We are happy with their performances.
“From what Hon. Sa’ad Ibrahim Abdullahi is doing it has shown that he deserve to be given another term so that he can continue the good work he has started,” he said.
The Ohimegye Opanda, Alhaji Usman Abdullahi, also praised Hon. Sa’ad for touching the lives of his people positively, especially during Ramadan.
Earlier, the delegation of the PDP exco led by its chairman paid a courtesy visit to the palace of Ohimegye Opanda.
The delegation said they were in the palace to appreciate the Royal Father for supporting Hon. Sa’ad to succeed and to seek for royal blessing.
