NALDA to empower 3,000 youths in 104 hectares Ebonyi farm estate

The National Agricultural Land Development Authority(NALDA) is set to engage about 3,000 youths in Ebonyi State in its proposed integrated farm estate in the state.

NALDA Executive Secretary, Prince Paul Ikonne, announced this in Ebonyi state on Monday in an interview with newsmen, shortly after paying a courtesy visit to Ebonyi State Governor, Engr. David Umahi, in his country home in Uburu.

Ikonne said the proposed integrated farm estate would be established in 104 hectares of land donated by the state government.

He assured that the integrated farm estate would be completed by October, 2021.

The NALDA boss who showered enconiums on the Ebonyi State Government for providing enabling environment and infrastructure for the take-off of the project, said the Authority would work inexorably to turn around the fortunes of agricultural activities, with a view to generating wealth and creating a new lease of life for Ebonyi youths.

“He is in total support of achieving Mr. President’s vision and resolving herdsmen/farmers crisis.

Responding, the Governor of Ebonyi State, Engr. David Umahi profusely thanked NALDA Executive Secretary and his team for the visit.
