Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, has said that the Nigerian Air Force would redouble its eff orts in ensuring the security of lives and properties of Nigerians at all time. Speaking after the 2017 Annual 10-Kilometre Walk/Jog Competition for offi cers, airmen and airwomen serving in Abuja, the CAS also said the “NAF will ensure capacity building of personnel, and commended initiatives of his administration and the recent restructuring of the NAF to facilitate effi cient and eff ective service delivery.”
He promised that NAF would continue to give utmost priority to the general welfare of its personnel and their families towards sustaining the high morale of the fi ghting troops. Abubakar described physical fi tness as “a pivotal tool for human beings, especially members of the Armed Forces, to eff ectively discharge their statutory responsibilities.’
