My re-election bid unstoppable, ordained by God – Fayemi

In bid to ensure that All Progressive Congress (APC) in Ekiti state goes for the forthcoming elections with a united front, Governor Kayode Fayemi has advised party members that are interested in the 2015 state and National Assembly elections to drop their ambitions until the conclusion of the governorship battle slated for June 21, 2014, in the state.

Fayemi, who gave the advice while addressing APC supporters in Ado-Ekiti, shortly after his return from Abuja, said scrambling for such positions “now when the party is being confronted with governess election can create internal crisis.”

While speaking, the Director General of Kayode Fayemi Campaign Organisation, Hon. Bimbo Daramola, described the Ekiti election as “another  journey to further reposition the state” after being rescued from the claws of economic marauders.
Fayemi said: “This is governorship election in Ekiti and not National Assembly or Presidential election. So, those having the ambitions for state or National Assembly should forget about it now and work in unity until we are able to record victory in the governorship election.”

“The vision has always been clear and the mission always here. We are going to be drivers of change in Ekiti and Nigeria at large. We have proved that we are servants-leader to our people in the last three and half years. And that is the match we are going to take from March 23, when INEC would say on your mark set go.
“This fight is not for personal aggrandisement, but to render selfless service and consolidate on the dividends of democracy to Ekiti populace.”
