My boys behind illegal refineries – Daukoru

A prominent Niger Delta king and a delegate from the South-south region, His Royal Highness, Edmud Daukoru, yesterday revealed to the conference that operators of illegal refineries in the country are his boys.
The traditional ruler from Bayelsa state revealed the information when delegates were considering the recommendations of the Committee on Science and Technology on harnessing illegal refineries for better performance.
Daukoru, who commended the delegates for voting unanimously to resolve the issue of illegal refineries operating in the country, said: “I commend my fellow delegates for voting against illegal refineries. I also voted against it even though those behind it are my boys.”
