Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore has petitioned the Commissioner of Police in Bauchi state over “an impostor parading himself as chairman of the association.”
The petition signed by the National Publicity Secretary of the group, Alhaji Yusuf Musa Ardo, was addressed to the police boss and copied to the state Director of Security Services (DSS) and the state chairman of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore.
The petition made available to newsmen yesterday accused one Garba Saleh Kasuwa of going round claiming to be the state chairman of the group.
It read in part: “We write on behalf of the national executive of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore following the unwholesome and unconstitutional activities of one Garba Saleh Kasuwa parading himself as the chairman of our association in Bauchi state.”
“We are taking this step to write as law abiding citizens who believed in the rule of law as opposed to brigandage and riotousness. Our association founded on the prism of law and order and would not accept any body to scatter us.”
While stating that the association constitution “does not provide room for factions,” the petition noted that the national headquarters of the association decided to write the police as a law-abiding group that had respect for the rule of law.
It added that the “recognised chairman of the group in Bauchi state is Malam Mohammed Ussaini Buzaye, and not Malam Garba Saleh Kasuwa.”
It, therefore, called on security agencies and the Bauchi state government to relate with only Malam Buzaye as the recognised chairman of the association in the state.
Ardo further called on Fulani pastoralists in the state to respect their chairman, Buzaye, for the peace and progress of the association in particular and Bauchi state in general.
