The Public Relations Officer (PRO) Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association, Jama’a local government area of Kaduna state, Alhaji Babangida Habane Magauri, has appealed to the Kaduna state government to come to their aid in those parts of the state where their lives and property were no longer safe.
Magauri made the appeal at the Gidan Waya Muslin Cemetery at the weekend after the burial of one of his kinsmen, Uzairu Abdullahi, who was allegedly killed by some people in Tafan district of Jama’a local government area.
He lamented on the plight of the Fulani, saying that they were being attacked incessantly over trivial matters that could be settled amicably.
The PRO said they were peace-loving people and were at all times prepared to obey the rules and laws of the land, “especially at this time of security challenges, but unfortunately we have become targets of attack.”
He added that even their livestock were not being spared, owing to the fact that sometimes some farmers poison mango fruits and any cattle that eats the fruit usually dies.
He enjoined members of the association to continue to live in peace with their neighbours and also to pray for peace in the country.
