MHWUN president tasks state council leaders on accountability, transparency,

The National President of Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria (MHWUN), Comrade Kabir Ado Minjibir, has urged the newly elected state council chairmen of the union to make accountability, transparency and discipline their baseline for success

Comrade Ado Minjibir while speaking at the inauguration of the 38 state councils of the union in Abuja , warned that the national leadership of the union would not hesitate to sanction any council chairman that goes against the constitution of the union

According to him, the three pillars which is accountability, transparency and discipline is the foundation of a progressive union

He said the union had set up a strong and real time data based to monitor and gauge the performances of the new State Council leadership.

According to him, the performances would both in terms of financial generation, human capital development, organising, industrial and human relations and operations of the councils .

“It is pertinent to use this occasion to restate this administration policy thrust of Accountability, Transparency and Discipline, which is the foundation of a progressive the union we are enjoying today.

“I therefore call on the new Chairmen, as leaders of State Councils to make these three pillers the base line of their operations in order to avoid pitfall that may ruin their bourgeoning career in the union.

“As the national leadership will not hesitate to wield the big stick whenever necessary against any chairman that goes contrary to the constitution and financial policies of the union,” he said.

He further eulogised the leadership style of former president of NLC as well as former president of the union Comrade Ayuba Wabba who was two times president of International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC).
