The old students of Methodist High School, Owo, Ondo-state, will kick- start their 60th anniversary of the school with church service at the Methodist Church, Fajuyi, Owo, on December 14 to herald the programme with prayers and thanksgiving.
The 60th anniversary of the school will hold in 2025.
The Class of ’76 led by Diasporas Chief Kasali Obanoyen in a statement Sunday appealed to all indigene and non indigene of Owo to come together as one family as it is not an Owo issue, but that of MHSO.
He listed the roll call of distinguished family who must not die of hunger and starvation to include and not limited to the following families- Chief SB Aruwajoye, Chief Omirin, Chief Mibiola (this is a family that told me what MHSO is all about via Dapo Mibiola in 1970/1971) Olowo Olateru Olagbegi,(Okun arabaribi).
Chief Dapo Aisida, (the founders that I know) The Ogunoyes ( Ekun ti yara ghoke )Chief Asubiojo, Pa Sholanke, Chief Ibrahim Oloye Obanoyen, (Ibami a di bimi Oma a ) Chief Okunrinboye , ( the family that produced the First Senator of the Federal republic of nigeria from Owo) Oba Jolaade from Akure Zone , Chief Olugboroko, Chief Ogundadegbe, Chief Aladegoroye, Chief Adafen Owoputi, Adajo Adojutelegan , Chief Abulatan, Pa Akinwunmi, Pa Ogbesusi, Mr Ogudana – out utility teacher, and MHSO Ikole – Ekiti families, Mr Osasan, Mr Ferera, (all legitimate Ilupeju Ekiti’s powerful connection) Mr Adesida , Mr Otokiti, Mr Oghre, Chief EA Adetuyi, Odunowo of Idanre Kingdom, Pa Ishola Bayode , Mr Adelusi , the baba of English language , Mr Adesuyi – a proud ex student of MHSO , and many more etc.
