MCRP national coordinator visits Yobe for project assessment

The National Coordinator of the Multi-Sectoral Crisis Recovery Project (MCRP), Prof.Umar Bobboi, along side other members of the team visited Yobe state for familiarization and projects assessment in the state.

In his remarks, Bobboi reassured the commitment of the MCRP through the federal government, North East Development Commission (NEDC) and World Bank for continued support to achieve the set objectives.

He appreciated the efforts of Yobe state MCRP for executing various developmental programmes in the areas of Road Construction, WASH, Health, public buildings, education, and agriculture.

On his part,Yobe State MCRP Project Coordinator,Musa Idi Jidawa, said the visit is part of a renewed commitment by the national office of the MCRP aimed at defining support and creating working synergy for effective delivery.

He further stated that the presence of the national team in Yobe is not just a reflection of the importance of the visit but also a reminder of shared responsibilities in ensuring the success of the project.

He noted that, “The visit is the first of its kind from the national team to Yobe which affirmed the readiness of the new national coordinator towards moving the northeastern state forwards”.

He revealed that the coming on board of Babboi to steer the leadership of MCRP unlocked a lot of bottleneck and operational challenges that paved the way for smooth implementation of their remaining activities.

He appreciated the support from the state government under the leadership of Buni and other stakeholders for the successful implementation of various projects across the state.
