Mayweather: Secret success of a dogged fighter

Floyd Mayweather is said to have become the first fighter to have earned more than $1billion in the ring following his fight with Conor McGregor and the American certainly likes to make his wealth known.
The Money Team leader claimed he made somewhere in the region of £250m in his defeat of the UFC’s main man in August and he has been making the most of his second retirement ever since, keeping fans updated with a stream of opulent social media posts. And the 40-year-old has continued in that vein, sharing a video of himself and his diamond encrusted jewellery on Thursday morning. A devout Christian, who makes it a point to thank God before and after fights, Mayweather is seen with five shiny crucifixes and an extravagant gold Hublot watch.
The retired boxer used the clip to announce the release of a new song in honour of his career and legendary boxing record, title ‘Undefeated’. Performed by Friyie, the man behind the Money Team’s unique theme, the tune includes the lyrics ‘breaking records you can take a look, you can go wrap my name up in the books’ and ‘undefeated, yea I’m undefeated, see the numbers never lie, living legend I can never die’. Mayweather’s win over McGregor saw him take his boxing record to 50- 0, the best undefeated record in the history of the sport.
