As part of his efforts to ensure Muslims celebrate Maulud happily, an All Progressive Congress (APC) chieftain in Zamfara state, Hon. Yazid Shehu Danfulani, has Saturday donated assorted food items to the Tijjaniyya followers for them to celebrate the birth of prophet Muhammad with ease in the state.
The distribution pattern was centered around the Zamfara central Zone which comprises of Gusau, Maru, Tsafe and Bungudu.
Hon. Yazid stated that the packages donated comprised 140 bags of rice and 1,400 carton of water and drinks was shared among the Tijjaniyya followers across the four local governments.
“We extended same gesture during the Eid period, as 109 Rams were shared to Islamic clerics and traditional rulers across the 4 local government areas”. He added
Hon Danfulani, described the Month of Maulud as a blessing to every Muslim as it is the Month where Muslims celebrate the birth of Prophet Muhammad every yea.
He also advised Muslims to use Maulud celebration period by praying to Almighty Allah for the return of peace in the state.
He also appealed to wealthy individuals in the state to assist the less privileged people particularly at the current socioeconomic hardship in order to reduce their hardship.
“I am calling on well to do individual in the state to always use what they have in assisting the lower class people within their domains especially this current situation with a view to reduce the socioeconomic hardship in among them”. He said
