Matawalle lauds Buhari for appointing Zamfara indigene

The governor of Zamfara state, Alhaji Bello Matawalle, has commended President Muhammadu Buhari for appointing his former Commissioner for Science and Technology, Biyaminu Yusuf Shinkafi, as a federal commissioner of the National Assembly Service Commission for the North-west.

In a statement issued in Gusau Friday, the director-general on media, public enlightenment and communication, Yusuf Idris, quoted the governor as saying that his administration and “the good people of Zamfara state were highly honoured with the appointment of Bilyaminu Shinkafi as a federal Commissioner to represent the North-west.”

According to the governor, the appointment is a clear indication of President Buhari’s total confidence in the sons and daughters of the state.

He said further that the president “as a man of honour and integrity that believes that whoever he appoints to represent a region must be a person of impeccable character that has distinguished himself in all ramifications.”

“For reposing such confidence and trust on the son of Zamfara, it is highly commendable and the president deserves to be applauded,” he said in the statement.

He advised the appointee to consider himself as the ambassador of the entire North-west and to, therefore, lead by example.
