Gusau

Residents of Gusau, the Zamfara state capital, were yesterday thrown into confusion as a middle age man was found dead reportedly from committing suicide along Yarloko area behind Zamfara textile company.
An eye witness, Malam Muhammadu of Unguwar Kanawa area, told our correspondent that the death of the man was complicated as his two eyes were found removed.
He said the deceased might “have died from the hands of ritualists about three days ago.”
According to him, “The man was discovered dead after noticing unusual odour spreading around the area by the commuters and pedestrians around the place. I am sure the man must have died three days ago because his body has decomposed,” he stated.
Efforts to reach the state police command Public Relations Officer. DSP Muhammad Shehu, proved abortive as all his lines were switched off while the text messages sent to the Commissioner of Police, Shaba Alkali by our reporter on the matter, could not be responded to.
