Make our unity daily schedule, Al-Makura tells Nigerians

Lafia.

Governor Umaru Tanko Al-makura of Nasarawa state yesterday advised Nigerians to see the unity of the country as part of their daily schedule for the nation to forge ahead.
A statement signed by Ahmed Tukur, the special assistant on Media and Publicity to Al-Makura urged citizens to continue to offer selfless
service for the unity of the country and for the future of the next generation. Al-Makura said Nigerians should use the 57th Independence anniversary to reflect on the struggle of our founding fathers and ensure the sustenance of peace and unity.
He reinstated the commitment of the All Progressive Congress (APC)- led administration of President Muhammadu Buhari to keep one, indivisible Nigeria and ensure that every citizen of the country has access to
the dividends of democracy .
He expressed optimism that the Buhari administration would succeed in its quest to reduce the rate of poverty, fight corruption, change the economic status of the country and stem the tide of insecurity in the
country.
He also called on Nigerians to support the administration’s drive to rebuild the nation’s foundation, saying such efforts could not be left to the government alone.
Al-Makura then urged leaders to continue to unite the people as part of self sacrifice to the country and humanity.
