Mahmoud condoles Gomo over wife’s demise




Minister of State for Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, has sent her heartfelt condolences to the Gomo of Kuje, HRH Alhaji Haruna Tanko Jibrin, over the death of his wife, Hajiya Asmau Haruna Tanko Jibrin.

The minister described the death of Hajiya Asmau Haruna Tanko Jibrin, as shocking and a huge loss to the traditional institution and women folk. 

Mahmoud said the late Hajiya Asmau Jibrin was committed to the promotion of peace, and unity in Kuje and beyond, adding that her legacies would be greatly missed.

The condolence letter signed by the minister reads in part: “I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Hajiya Asmau Haruna Tanko Jibrin, wife of HRH Alhaji Haruna Tanko Jibrin.

“Her loss is a great sorrow to the entire Kuje community and too deep to His Royal Highness as she was a beloved wife, devoted mother, and a pillar of strength to her husband.

“Her contributions to promoting traditional customs and supporting local initiatives will be greatly missed.

“Please accept my heartfelt condolences during this difficult time.

“Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un”

“Aljannahtul Firdaus be her final abode”.

The minister commiserated with members of the Gomo family and Kuje chiefdom on this great loss. 

She further enjoined all to put the family in prayers at this critical time while praying Allah to grant her Aljannah.
