Lobi won’t go down in my time – Tenger

Lobi Stars coach Justin Tenger has vowed to do ensure that the Makurdi club do not go down under his latest watch.
Lobi Stars are the only Premier League side yet to win a game this season in the Nigeria Premier League.

The Makurdi club have played nine games, won none , drew six and lost three with their latest defeat being a 1-0 loss to Wikki Tourists in Bauchi.
“I have captained this team and this is my fourth time coming to coach the club. The last three times I came on rescue mission but now that I started with the team they would not go down under me,” declared the vastly experienced Tenger.

“I Don’t have any excuses for our poor showing. We have not been lucky but I know once we are able to win a game then we will pick it up from there.
“As a team I don’t think we are playing badly and the management knows that very well.”
The former Akwa United coach has maintained he is not under pressure.

“I am not under any kind of pressure and there is no ultimatum from the management because they know we are not doing badly on the pitch of play,” he stated.

“But one thing I want to assure the fans is that Lobi would bounce back. In my 24 years of coaching I have never gone on relegation and it won’t start now.”
