Like Plateau, Soludo announces free education in Anambra government schools

Anambra state governor, Chukwuma Soludo, has announced free education in all government-owned schools across the state.

The governor made this announcement on Thursday at Premier Primary School, Obosi.

Soludo said: “Beginning this term, so far as I’m on this chair as governor of Anambra, in public schools owned by government and run by government, children from nursery to primary 6 to JSS 3, none of them will be required, under any circumstances, to pay one kobo.

“Children of school age will no longer be deprived of access to quality education.

“Machinery will be put in place to ensure that this is effectively implemented. This administration will not look kindly on anyone who fails to comply with this pronouncement.”
