As campaigns towards local government election in Delta state continue to gather steam, political leaders in Oshimili South local government area have endorsed the chairmanship aspiration of the only female in the race, Mrs. Sandra Demian.
Mrs. Demian’s endorsement came yesterday at Ward 11 of the council during the conclusion of her tour of the various wards of the locality.
A former secretary to the council, Mr. Chika Osadebay, told the aspirant that the people believed in her ambition and would support her to actualise her dreams.

He said: “We believe in the sound experience of the only female aspirant in the race. We have confidence in her deep knowledge in the public and private sector, her deep knowledge and understanding of the intricacies and nuances of our society and her record in the public service have sufficiently placed her in a vantage position to provide desirable leadership in the state.”
A woman leader in the ward, Raginal Adesue, described the aspirant as an “icon of democracy, justice, accountability and development,” and thanked her for improving the welfare of the youth and playing great roles in the development of the people.

Addressing supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the ward, the chairmanship hopeful said she was on a mission to answer the call of the people who were urging her to represent them and contribute to the growth of the locality.
Mrs. Demian assured the people that she would bring the needed change in the area if elected as chairman, describing herself as an “agent of change.”
She appreciated the support of the people, saying that the overwhelming support was her source of inspiration and the driving force behind her ambition, and promised not to disappoint if given the opportunity.
