LG poll: PDP candidate Faruk pledges to restore Ganye electorate

Former executive chairman of Ganye local government of Adamawa and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the July13 local government election in the state, Hon. Faruk Mohammed (aka Bulldozer) has pledged to rescue his people, with or without local government autonomy.

Hon Faruk gave this assurance Thursday in an interview with journalists in Yola, after his screening by the Adamawa State Independent Electoral Commission (ADSIEC), promising not only to live up to the expectations of Ganye people but also to surpass his first term achievements.

“The people of Ganye are always happy with me, and I believe that is the reason they decided to bring me as PDP candidate so that I can come back to the seat and continue from where I stopped.  Let me assure you that I won’t let them down or disappoint their expectations.

“I was once the executive chairman of that local government, and I know how I manovoured my ways to achieve results and get things done for my people. So local government autonomy or not, I will not let them down. In fact, we are going to do more than what we did during our first term,” he boasted.

He expressed confidence in the caliber of people appointed into ADSIEC which he said has given hope to the people of the state, including the opposition that their election will be free and fair.

The PDP candidate further commended Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, for his developmental strides, which completely changed the infrastructure narratives of the state and for giving Adamawa state a focus and leadership which put the state on the development map of Nigeria.
