LG congress: APC allocates 378 nomination forms to Zamfara

Chairman, Zamfara All Progressives Congress (APC) committee on the forthcoming local government congress, Amb Dauda Danladi, has said 378 nomination forms have been allocated for those contesting various positions ahead of the Saturday polls.
Danladi described the party as the most law abiding, which carries all its members along, and called on members to remain united and desist from any form of unrest that could disrupt the plan to face next year’s election. Danladi made this known yesterday at the APC stakeholders’ meeting, held at the Government House, Gusau the state capital. According to him, the nomination forms were available for sale, adding that, 14 nomination forms had been allocated for 14 local government chairmen while the remaining forms were for other positions, respectively.
He cautioned that the forms would be submitted to his committee 24 hours next Friday for final accreditation and approval by the committee for the commencement of the congress next Saturday, stressing that any form submitted late will be consider invalid.
He also consoled with the people and state government over the recent security challenges posed by armed bandits which led to the loss of many innocent lives saying the party was worried about the incident. Speaking earlier, the state APC chairman, Alhaji Lawal Abubalar Kaura, promised to give the necessary support to the committee for the successful conduct of the next Saturday local government congress in the state.
He also cautioned members of APC in the state to shun anything that could cause havoc during the next Saturday local government Congress in the state, warning that, anyone found wanting to disrupt the Congress will be dealt with according to the law of APC. It could be recalled that a total of 3,969 members of the APC won various positions out of the 174 wards of the 14 local government areas of Zamfara state during the last Saturday ward congress of the party.
