Leicester City back to winning ways with impressive 4-1 victory over West Ham

Leicester City ended their poor recent form and returned to winning ways with a 4-1 home victory over West Ham. They had entered the fixture following a run of three games without a win, which had led to frustrations creeping in at the club. This started with them being held to a surprise 1-1 draw at home to Aston Villa in the opening leg of their Football league cup semi-final clash.

Leicester were then beaten 2-1 at home back in the Premier league to Southampton. This saw the visitors come from behind to beat Leicester and exact revenge on their 9-0 loss to the same side from back in October. It was then a similar story for Leicester, as they were beaten 2-1 away at Burnley. This saw them take the lead in the first half, only for the home side to strike back twice and take all the points. These results were surprising considering how strong Leicester have been for much of the current campaign but they needed to return to winning ways as they welcomed West Ham to the King Power Stadium earlier this week.

Leicester went into the clash as the strong favourites and they proved a very popular choice for punters using the offers available at online-casinos.ng. This was little surprise, as West Ham are struggling at the bottom of the table and very much still involved in the relegation battle. New manager David Moyes now has a huge task on his hands in order to push the side back up the table.

Leicester were dominant from the start, with Barnes and Pereira putting the side 2-0 up after the first half. Mark Noble drew one back for the visitors from the spot at the start of the second half but this did not matter, as Ayoze Perez scored twice in the final period of the match. This meant Leicester took the three points in their 4-1 home victory and returned to winning ways.

Leicester remain in a very promising position and are long odds on to secure Champions league football for next year. They have a 14 point cushion over the fifth placed side Manchester United and even an eight point lead over the third placed side Chelsea. The side continue to perform under manager Brendan Rodgers and it is exciting times ahead the club. To date, Leicester have picked up 48 points from a possible 72, winning 15, drawing three and losing six.

Leicester also now have a difficult run of fixtures coming up in the Premier league, so this is set to be an important period for the club. This starts with them welcoming Chelsea, before they travel to take on Wolves. They will then face off against Manchester City and the King Power to end a difficult run of important games.
