Lawmaker’s house set ablaze in Anambra

Hoodlums suspected to be unknown gunmen, Tuesday, burnt down the house of member representing Ihiala Federal Constituency, Hon. Paschal Agbodike.

According to sources, the attack which was carried out around 1am at Mbosi, the country home of the lawmaker, completely raised down fully furnished duplex, another bungalow and other properties worth millions of naira.

Agbodike, who is the immediate past Deputy Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, had witnessed similar attack prior to the conduct of 2023 general elections, the source added.

The lawmaker, while confirming the report, said no life was lost even as he declined comment on whether the attack was politically motivated or not.

He added that he was in Abuja carrying out his legislative function when the attack happened.

However, the Police Public Relations Officer, Anambra State command, Mr Tochukwu Ikenga, was yet to confirm the report as at time of filling the story.
