Lawmaker donates N1m to Doma rainstorm victims

Senator representing Nasarawa South, Suleiman Adokwe, has donated the sum of N1million to the victims affected by the recent rainstorm that caused havoc to some residents in Doma local government area of the state. He made the presentation when he paid a visit to the Andoma of Doma, Alhaji Ahamadu Aliyu Oga, to commiserate with Doma community in his palace yesterday.
The senator, who expressed shock over the unfortunate incident, urged them to take courage and consider it as an act of God.
“I come to sympathise with the people of Doma and also to contribute to the general coff er that will help in ameliorating the suff ering o the victims. What touches one touches all; be responsible to our neighbor,’ he said. Responding, the Andoma of Doma, Aliyu Oga, commended the senator for extending his kind gesture to Doma community and called on the committee in charge of collection of relief materials to discharge their duty with the fear of God.
