Late Danmaraya Jos a great patriot – Ex-FRCN boss

 

 

The late music icon, Dr. Adamu Danmaraya Jos, has been described as a great patriot, a philanthropist and an educationist.

 

Former Director General, Federal Radio Cooperation of Nigeria (FRCN), Malam Ladan Salihu, said yesterday in Jos at the maiden edition of “The Kuntugi International Annual Public Lecture” organised by Danmaraya Jos Foundation.

 

Salihu stressed that late Danmaraya Jos, had a large heart, the heart that was constant at caring and shearing to the needy in the society.

 

“He was a philosopher, a poet, a performer, a philanthropist and a patriot,” Salihu eulogised.

 

He further said the iconic musician, was a unifier, whose songs portrayed unity, stressing that Danmaraya was an advocate of education.

 

Salihu said: “Danmaraya, as an artist he had provided a road map for singers, to reflect as mirror.”

 

According to him, Danmaraya embraced all people irrespective of their divergent in religion or ethnic.

 

“His left legacies will continue to be remembered for good,” he added.
