Lamidon Adamawa harps on peaceful coexistence among Nigerians

Lamido of Adamawa, Dr Barkindo Aliyu Musdafa, has charged Adamawa state indigenes to ensure that they sustained the peaceful coexistence and cultural affinity that the people were known for instead of allowing minor skirmishes to hamper that.
The First Class traditional ruler and the Chairman of the Adamawa state Council of Chiefs and Emirs, who harped on peaceful existence, shortly when he inspected the ongoing construction of the Jimeta Main Central Mosque, in Yola, reminded the Muslim faithful and other citizens of the state of the cordial relationship that had existed among them for the years, which should be sustained.
He also charged Nigerians on the need to avoid any acts that would truncate democracy in the country, believing that citizens had to work assiduously for democracy to grow through their attitude to machinery put in place for the model of governance to work for them.
Musdafa also harped on the need for Adamawa indigenes to be conscious of the environment and to report suspicious movements of individuals to security agencies, adding that indigenes had the responsibility to secure their environments and to assist security agencies to do their work better.
The Lamidon Adamawa lauded the work done so far toward having a new Jimeta Main Central Mosque that had so far gulped over N166 million, including material donations from Muslim Umma within and outside the state.

Blueprint gathered that the mosque is of lower and upper stairs capacity of 1, 600 worshippers. It is going to be one of the biggest mosques in Yola ,the Adamawa state capital, when completed. The construction of the mosque is being financed by both cash and material donations from Muslim umma.
A number of Muslim faithful that witnessed the inspection by the royal father lauded the zeal and efforts being made by the royal father in ensuring that the construction of the mosque is completed in good time to enable worshippers have their congregational prayers there.
