Operatives of Lagos State Police Command have said it has arrested a fake soldier and accomplices who have been impersonating security agencies in Lagos.
The command’s spokesperson in a statement said the suspects and his accomplices were arrested on February 19, 2024 at about 2230hrs when information was received at Isolo division that there was a fight at Aina street Isolo area of the state.
According to him, “Immediately the patrol team was dispatched to the area where it was discovered that one Ben Okafor, who claimed to be a corporal in the Nigerian Army was seen with jack knife alongside with one Darlinton Chidiebere Ihenacho, were fighting one Oludotun.
“He later reported that the soldier was chasing him with a jack knife threatening to kill him.
“After the suspects were arrested and search, a fake Nigerian Army Identify Card bearing corporal Geoffrey Emmanuel, with serial No.140861.
“Recovered from the suspects includes a jack knife and peppers spray
“However, the suspects will be charged to court at the conclusion of the investigation.”
