Gov Seyi Makinde of Oyo state Wednesday described the death of the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja, as a sad loss to the country.
In a condolence message to the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Nigerian Army, the governor said late Lt Gen Lagbaja was a patriot and one of the finest military officers produced by the country.
Governor Makinde in the message by his special adviser (media), Dr Sulaimon Olanrewaju, commiserated with the immediate family of the deceased COAS as well as the government and people of Osun state on the demise of their illustrious son.
He then prayed to Allah to grant repose to the soul of late Lt General Lagbaja
