Kwara south youths consultative forum, comprising youths from seven local government areas has carpeted a former commissioner of information in the state, Mr Ben Duntoye, over his comments on the performance of the state governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed.
The forum described the purported comments made by the former commissioner that the governor’s performance “is only on social media as political propaganda with sour taste and a disservice to his community.”
Addressing journalists in Ilorin yesterday on the state of development in the Kwara south, the forum chairman, Alhaji Kazeem Adekeye, said all the local governments that made of the district have benefited from Ahmed’s administration.
He listed the installation of transformer at Oro palace in Oro town, electricity projects at Aradun, and construction of share township road, Offa -Ipee road, Obbo Ayegunle water works and construction of class rooms as some of the achievements of the governor in Kwara south.
The forum chairman said the youth had resolved to hold a mega rally to demonstrate their support for the governor and leader of APC in the state, Senator Bukola Saraki, for providing quality leadership.
They pledged to rally support for the success of the party in 2015, saying that the Ahmed administration had engaged the youths positively with quick win and KWABES and other youth employment programmes.
