Kwara: First female Police commissioner assumes duty as first female Kwara CP


The new commissioner of Police for the Kwara state command, CP Ebunoluwarotimi Adelesi has assumed duty.

She is making history as the  first female commissioner in Kwara since its creation in 1967.

Adelesi replaces the outgoing commissioner of Police Paul Odama who has been promoted to the rank of an Assistant Inspector-General of Police, AIG.

A statment by the command’s Public Relations Officer, (PPRO) Okasanmi Ajayi Wednesday said the new CP had once seved as deputy commissioner of Police in charge of administration in Kwara state.

He said the female CP who haild from Sagamu, in the Sagamu local government area of Ogun state had served in various challenging capacities within and outside Nigeria.

“She has presented conference papers at the United Nations-sponsored conference, mainly for women in peacekeeping missions in Mogadishu, Somalia. (Titled Better the balance, better the world),” he stated.
