Kwara approves N925m for Indoor Sports Hall renovation

Th e kwara state government has approved the sum of N925.8 million for the renovation of state indoor sports hall constructed over 40 years ago. Th e Ilorin indoor sports hall, constructed over 40 years ago houses over 26 sports. Th e state’s commissioner for information and communications, Alhaji Mahmud Babatunde Ajeigbe announced the approval at the end of the state executive council meeting in Ilorin. He said the renovation of the hall would be carried out 9 within months. Th e Senior Special Assistant on Media and Communications to the Governor, Dr. Muyideen Akorede, had said in a statement the indoor sports hall was among the projects the governor stepped down to provide additional N1bn for the payment of local government workers, especially the State Universal Basic Education Board’s employees.
