Kwali chair inaugurates 70 SAs, tasks aides on work ethics

The executive chairman of Kwali area council, Hon. Danladi Chiya, Thursday, swore in 70 Special Assistants to assist him bring about development in his council.

While inaugurating the SAs, the chairman urged them to uphold the mandate of change given to them by the electorate in order to help deliver the dividends of democracy.

He said the aides were digitally inaugurated to ensure they perform their duties digitally without interference, in order to bring about development to Kwali area.

Chiya charged them to provide quality service to the people and not delay in dealing with official matters or abuse the privilege given to them, adding that “your work starts now.”

He also noted that the major concern was to ensure that the newly inaugurated SA’s assumed duties and start receiving alerts this month, urging them to live up to the expectations of the council while reaching out to the people of their constituency.

He admonished the SAs in charge of Culture, Mining, Revenue, Health, and Security, among others, to do more on the areas, saying: “These areas are top priorities of my administration.

The chairman also used the opportunity to appreciate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for nominating an FCT indigene, Hon. Bitrus Zephaniah Jisalo as minister of the Federal Republic.

On his part, the APC party chairman in Kwali area council, Ahaji Aliyu Yahaya, advised the SAs to take their positions very seriously and leverage on the gains to impact on the people.

Speaking on behalf of the newly inaugurated SAs, Hon. Thomas Y. Leda, thanked the council chairman for giving them the opportunity to serve and promised that they would not let the council down.
