Wife of the Kogi state governor, Hajiya Halima Wada, has disclosed that Kogi Women Empowerment Network (KOWEN) will liaise with relevant stakeholders and agencies to establish a macro credit loan scheme for women farmers.
Mrs Wada, who disclosed this yesterday in Onyedega, Ibaji local government area, during her routine programme of food out reach for widows, orphans and the disabled (FOWOD) in the society, said the loan scheme would be interest free loans, adding that the loan would enable the women farmers to improve their yields.
The First Lady assured the people that her pet projects (KOWEN) would also facilitate the establishment of skill acquisition centers for women in all the 21 local government of the state.
She commended the people of Ibaji for their support for Governor Idris Wada’s administration, assuring them of the government’s support in providing projects that have direct bearing in the lives of the people.
