Kogi state university on the steady rise

Kogi State University, Anyigba, now Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAUU), has recorded another 100 percent from the accreditation exercise conducted by the National Universities Commission (NUC) last year.

Physics, Geology Chemistry, Theatre Arts, Mass Communication, Biology Education, Chemistry Education and Mathematics Education presented for the accreditation by the Professor M. S. Abdulkadir-led management team last year, all got full accreditation status from the result released by the NUC this week.

Similar impressive NUC accreditation result was recorded by the university when the management presented 13 programmes for accreditation in 2018, which 8 were returned with FULL accreditation status and 5 got interim status in the result that was released in 2019.

Kudos to the executive governor of Kogi state,  His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, for his consistent, proactive and pragmatic commitment to the educational sector in the state, most especially the uninterrupted and predictable academic calendar in our tertiary institutions.

This is the result of the deliberate reforms in the university.

Dr Ogbo is lecturer at Kogi State University, Anyigba.
