Kogi: Osinbajo charges Kogi People to Vote Gov Bello

The Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, has charged the people of Kogi state to vote for the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in order to move to the next level of infrastructure and economic development.

Osinbajo who gave the charge Saturday in Idah the ancient city of Igala Kingdom during the official launch of the governorship campaign of the APC ahead of November 16 general election, assured that the second term of President Muhammadu Buhari would witness robust economic development.

He urged the people of the state to come out enmass and vote for APC to enable them join other APC states in moving to the next level of development.

“The only way you can move to the next level is to ensure that , November 16 you move to your polling units with your Permanent Voter’s Card to vote for APC and deliver the party and the state for victory” he said

In his speech, the national chairman of APC Comrade Adams Oshiomole urged Kogi people to return Governor Yahaya Bello for progress.

He noted that the issue of non-payment of salary was over in the state, saying in governance the more you work hard to deliver the dividend of democracy to the people the more other areas of needs crops up for attention.

The national chairman who presented the party’s flag to Governor Bello said the Governor has flagged off the construction of a bridge across the river Niger that will link both Igala Kingdom and Edo state to enhance economy of the people of the two states.

He charged the party supporters to move house to house in campaigning for the party, urging them not to vote for a party that will only concentrate on family development leaving the masses in abject poverty and penury.

“We have absolute confidence in the ability of Governor Bello and his Deputy Edward Onoja to take Kogi state to the next level of development”

Former Governor of Bauchi State, Muhammed Abdullahi Abubakar, who represented  Governor Nasir Ahmed El-Rufai, the Chairman of the National Campaign Council, said a vote for APC candidate during the election would bring more development to the state.

He said if elected, Bello would move the state forward and consolidate on his positive achievements.

Also speaking, Minister of State for FCT, Dr. Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu, described Bello as a reliable and committed person, who would bring more development to the state, saying Bello would provide employment for the youths and also continue with his good work.

Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti, Abdullahi Sule, Nasarawa state; Abdulrahman Abdulrazak of Kwara state ; Mai Mala Bunu of Yobe state, Abubakar Sani Bello , former Governor of Bauchi state Mohammed Abdullahi were in attendance.
