The Kogi state governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, Sunday, commended the leadership of  Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) in Kogi state for deviating from the usual culture of divisive politics to promoting unity among political actors in the state.

Governor Ododo stated this when he received members of IPAC led by its chairman, Honourable Ilyas Badanga, on a courtesy visit to the governor at Government House, Lokoja.

The governor stated  that his administration is committed to strengthening relationship with the IPAC in providing purposeful leadership that will shape the policies and programmes of the government in the interest of the people.

He added that the era of de marketing the state by political actors should be left in the past and urged political actors to provide positive evaluation of his administration by offering superior options in policies and programmes that will have direct impact on the lives of the people.

“As politicians, it is time to come together to market the entire state by towing the lane that will lead to its development as demonstrated by the leadership of IPAC which has put ideas forward that will promote politics of inclusion for the peace and unity of the people of the state,” Governor Ododo said.
