A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ankpa local government area of Kogi state, Alhaji Ayuba Nana, has described Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo as a disciplined, focused and consummate politician who can manage people and resources effectively.
In a press statement, weekend, Nana commended the Kogi state governor for the prompt payment of June salary to enable Muslims celebrate Sallah.
He said the governor’s constructive and eminently positive attitude to work and socio-political issues makes him a testament to the desirable quality of leadership.
Nana added that Governor Ododo has never defaulted in the payment of salaries and pension, which he pays on or before 26th of every month. He said the commendable mode of payment is intended to prevent “exposing workers to demand-triggered inflation in cost of food, clothing and services. Civil servants in Kogi state are happy with Governor Ododo’s consistency in the payment of salaries, pensions and gratuities of retired workers. The people are particularly happy with the governor’s magnanimous approval for early release of salaries at the middle of June ahead of Sallah,” Nana said.
